2 Kings 22:16-17

16Thus says the Lord, Behold, I will bring disaster upon this place and upon its inhabitants, all the words of the book that the king of Judah has read. 17 aBecause they have forsaken me and have made offerings to other gods, that they might provoke me to anger with all the work of their hands, therefore bmy wrath will be kindled against this place, and it will not be quenched.

2 Kings 22:19

19 cbecause your heart was penitent, and you dhumbled yourself before the Lord, when you heard how I spoke against this place and against its inhabitants, that they should become ea desolation and fa curse, and you ghave torn your clothes and wept before me, I also have heard you, declares the Lord.

2 Kings 23:26

26Still the Lord did not turn from the burning of his great wrath, by which his anger was kindled against Judah, hbecause of all the provocations with which Manasseh had provoked him.

2 Chronicles 36:13-20

13 iHe also rebelled against King Nebuchadnezzar, who had made him swear by God. jHe stiffened his neck and hardened his heart against turning to the Lord, the God of Israel. 14All the officers of the priests and the people likewise were exceedingly unfaithful, following all the abominations of the nations. And they polluted the house of the Lord that he had made holy in Jerusalem.

15The Lord, the God of their fathers, ksent persistently to them by his messengers, because he had compassion on his people and on his dwelling place. 16 lBut they kept mocking the messengers of God, mdespising his words and scoffing at his prophets, nuntil the wrath of the Lord rose against his people, until there was no remedy.

Jerusalem Captured and Burned

17 oTherefore he brought up against them the king of the Chaldeans, who killed their young men with the sword in the house of their sanctuary and had no compassion on young man or virgin, old man or aged. He gave them all into his hand. 18 pAnd all the vessels of the house of God, great and small, and the treasures of the house of the Lord, and the treasures of the king and of his princes, all these he brought to Babylon. 19 qAnd they burned the house of God and broke down the wall of Jerusalem and burned all its palaces with fire and destroyed all its precious vessels. 20He rtook into exile in Babylon those who had escaped from the sword, sand they became servants to him and to his sons until the establishment of the kingdom of Persia,

Ezra 9:6-7

6saying:

“O my God, I am ashamed and blush to lift my face to you, my God, for our iniquities thave risen higher than our heads, and our uguilt has vmounted up to the heavens.
7 wFrom the days of our fathers to this day we have been in great xguilt. And for our iniquities we, our kings, and our priests have been given into the hand of the kings of the lands, to the sword, to captivity, to plundering, yand to utter shame, as it is today.

Ezra 9:13

13And after all that has come upon us for our evil deeds and for zour great guilt, seeing that you, our aaGod, have punished us less than our iniquities deserved and have given us such a abremnant as this,

Nehemiah 9:26-27

26 ac“Nevertheless, they were disobedient and rebelled against you adand cast your law behind their back aeand killed your prophets, who afhad warned them in order to turn them back to you, agand they committed great blasphemies. 27 ahTherefore you gave them into the hand of their enemies, who made them suffer. aiAnd in the time of their suffering they cried out to you and you heard them from heaven, and according to your great mercies you gave them ajsaviors who saved them from the hand of their enemies.
